Guidelines for the Official's Coordinator:Each SNB registered club is asked to appoint a person to oversee the advancement of officials in their club. In an established club this person is most apt to have officiating experience, and will likely be a level IV or a level V.
However, sometimes this is not possible. It is therefore, acceptable to appoint anyone to this position who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to assist with the training of officials. There are NBOC ( New Brunswick Officials' Committee) members in every region who will willingly donate their services in the conducting of clinics and the evaluation of up-and-coming officials. Please check the Senior and Masters Officials site for contact information. It is miportant for each club to have strong officiating base and it is the Officials' coordinators who are crucial to the success of the club's progress in this direction.
Specific responsibilities include:

Keeps accurate up-to-date records of club's officials and their qualifications

Assists the Officials' Registrar in maintaining an accurate Provincial Officials' Register

Ensures adequate clinics are offered by qualified officials

Ensures the evaluation opportunities are made available to all candidates

Encourages all officials to continue to progress up the Officiating ladder

Notifies the NBOC Chairperson and the section Office of any up-coming clinics, their dates and locations

Keeps in touch with officials not actively involved with the club

Attends the NBOC Meetings as the club representative
